A healthy mind and body takes a lot of hard work. I know for myself, that I am currently a work in progress.
It is so easy to get off of your path to wellness and achieve the goals that you set out for yourself. It is easy to get sidetracked, and fall back into bad habits and old ways of thinking and behaving.
One of the difficulties that I have always had in my life, is staying focused and staying balanced. I have severe asthma, allergies, a touch of arthritis, and mood swings at times.
It is amazing how not feeling well physically can effect my emotional well being quite significantly. One of the things that has been helping me, besides diet and exercise has been an omega 3 and strong anti-oxidant from grape seed extract.
I am also trying to stay away from processed foods, and a lot of meat products. I find that this helps me a lot.
In addition, I am drinking a lot of water, and making sure that I exercise 5-6 times per week.
Lastly, I am making sure that I make time to relax and unwind and I get a massage every couple of weeks! Massage therapy is the best stress reliever in town!
If I can say one thing for you to remember, it is this:
Do not give up on your path to mind body wellness and self care. If you start falling back into old habits, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again!
